Ria van Dijk, the shooter, not the cards but the rifle.
all starts in the city of Tilburg in Holland (I still preach to my church I hear you say) when Ria van Dijk then 16 years pass before a booth "photo shoot". Simple concept, you hit the target and automatically a camera takes a picture of yourself in the firing position and the price you give. Ria van Dijk
wants to take it reaches the target, a picture of her is taken. The story begins and it receives its first photo was in 1936.
Since that day, almost every year she has relapsing and today at age 88, she continues her tradition and achieves its annual photo.
Following his annual pilgrimage to the shooting range with the exception of a break between 1939 and 1945 (for fairly obvious reasons) we can discover his annual shots and stylistic changes of clothing.
Besides the photographs were collected by Erik Kessels and Joep Eijkens in a book called In Almost Every Picture.
You can watch a short video on Ria van Dijk here.
Can we say that the picture was shot?
